Just wanted to offer a suggestion / "plug" for anyone still wondering where they want to stay during the course at Wallace Falls. I attended the class on April 29/30, and opted to stay at The Gaylord House B&B.
You'll have to allow 40-45 minutes minimum for the drive, but I found it scenic and soothing on the way to class and it gave me a chance to "process" the day's class topics, on the drive 'home'. Kay and Craig are super nice, very accommodating to class attendees and the rates are reasonable (not to mention the waffle soufle-like breakfast dish,,,,, Yum-Yum). LHBA offers this B&B as an option too, under "5)" on the 'What to Expect webpage', http://www.loghomebuilders.org/information-page-classes-wallace-falls-lodge.
Or go straight to the source at www.gaylordhouse.com
Wherever you stay (I'm sure the lodge at Wallace Falls is great too), have a GREAT time at class, take lots of notes and enjoy Ellsworth's and Steve's presentations! You're in for a quantum leap of perspective.

Did it cost too much?
I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as possible on the trip. How much did they charge?
