My first ever attempt at blogging. Maybe this'll be a convenient way to document the journey. If I make it public, it'll keep pressure on me to get started.
Monday, Feb 15, 2010. Made it back home after the Vegas training without too much fallout over being gone Valentines Day. Good class. I've been to some where they managed to stretch a day and a half of material into four. This one definitely didn't do that. Two FULL days of good information. Thanks to Ellsworth, Steve, and the other class members for putting up with my questions. I'm a DIY'er from way back, and the biggest revelation to me was the iron fist of government hanging over most of the country. I'm thankful to live in the free state of Mississippi. Here, on my land I can do (build) whatever I want and ask permission of no one.
Friday, 2-19-2010. Took the tractor and bushhog down to the property on the lake to recover from a year's growth. Knocked down saplings in another area to visualize a building location.
Sat, 2-20. Went to an auction. Walked in, looked to the right and there was my electric chainsaw. $16. Picked up a 25#box of the stubby hanger nails for $7. Probably paid too much for the Porter Cable 1/2 inch hammer drill @$40 but it's very lightly used. Debbie just shakes her head when I come in with more tools.
