You can see lots of photos, but the basis of what we do is learned in class. I have many log home building books and there is nothing that explains the basic theory that you learn in class...
good luck
You could read a book just like those 20 log house books you've already read and then you'd not build a log house just like you're not doing it now. No offense was meant by that. There is something that "clicks" in the brain partway through this class that seems to make it all seem possible. Also, when you're through with class you get access to the members forum and it'll all make sense. Class is cheap and a bargain and worth every penny, if only for the assistance gained from the members side of the forums.
What you get there is an ever growing family of like minded people who have built, or are planning to build a B&P log home. A level of detail it is impossible to provide in a weekend. The class gives you the the basic, detailed programs and procedures in a weekend. The Member's Only Section gives you answers to questions you didn't know existed before the class. We have the most amazing and knowledgeable people willing to share their day to day experiences and recommendations. An extreme amount of knowledge and talent waiting to help for anyone in the family.
Hey guys,
For starters, hat's off to the site, pics, and forum. You all really seem to know what it takes to build a good log cabin ('cause i surely don't).
I have two questions:
1) Any there any way to learn this method for those who can't attend the class? DVD's, online videos etc?
2) If attendance is possible in the far distant future, is there any "pre-work" or books to read that would give someone a head start for the class?
Your comments and suggestions are much appreciated!!
