rain

It is good in a way/ you will see how good your roof is--if it is leaking or doing its job.

Rain

The entire central US is dealing with record rains. Here in Missouri we are on the third record setting rain month this year. February, March and soon to be June.

Shark...It's very frustrating that you can't get to your place. I've been waiting for this weather pattern to shut down and it just keeps coming. It is moving more to the north, so please prepare.

Putting my money on the roof

Hey Shark! Don't sweat a thing a man. Unless you have had near tornado winds and didn't put but half or so of the recommened screws in it that roof of yours it is gonna come out of this looking like a champ! I never followed up with you to see if you put something under your ridge cap after that initial panick attack you had with the first water inside your house after you got the roof on but watching your house go up through your pictures I'm putting my money on the fact that you did something to correct the "blowing rain" issue. You're gonna be in great shape, and even happier you've chosen to build something just shy of a stone fortress.

Will Dye, Yep we were

Will Dye,

Yep we were fortunate, I guess our property is on high enough ground, it didn't flood, so I think it'll be safe for a long time.

re: roof, I think you have me mixed up with kevinc from farther north Indiana. So far nothing leaking roof wise here.

Now, carpenter bees, a totally different story. I think the stain actually has been keeping them away finally.

Are you getting ready to start building down there this year?
