Do you/will you be doing your own or having them done? If doing them yourself, what kind of software would be good?
I'm not good with the freehand, so that's out of the question. Even my stick ppl laugh at me...lol

plans

There will be 30x30 and 40x40 stock plans available to you as a member. You can buy them at the class. I bought a set just to get familiar with what will/may be required and what it should all look like.

There was some freeware from google - http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?q=log+home&styp=m and a not too expensive tool is Punch Software.

Class is awesome.

I think there's a

I think there's a between-sized blueprint of a 35'er for sale too. The thing is, unless your code requires it, you may not need actual blueprints for building. If we build where codes are nill to non-exhistant (likely or we won't be doing it, personally), we'll be using the stock plans for reference, but building based off of my own graph-paper drawings. If you stick to the "simple is easiest/cheapest" approach, there isn't too much difference...you just need to be sure it can stand up to your local conditions. And even if you don't like the layout of the interior of the stock plans, you can change all but a few verticle posts so the interior design fits your needs.
