Fred was sitting in his office one day when the area was hit by an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale. The house was completely unharmed, and Fred reported that he just listened to the roof tiles make "clackety clack" noises for a few minutes -- that's 35 tons worth of concrete tiles going 'clackety clack' 45' above his head and his house suffered no damage at all.
