finding a way to live cheaply while building our cabins

this is my first time on here and just found this to help me with obsticals we are coming against.my sister and brother in law are in the process of buying 75 acres of land with enough timber to build several cabins and have asked my family to drop my job and come help as a family to build each of us a cabin.we have the money for the property but what we are having a hard time with is that when we do this we both give up our houses so we need a cheap way to house 5 adults and 1 child as we are spending the most of the money on the land.we are on a tight schedule to find some way to live on the land, we have researched yurts-too much money, house in a box, too much money ,trailers but still a lot of money ,i read thru most of the site and saw where there are ways to get trailers (hopefully )for free while you build and then pass them on to the next in need . if anyone has any ideas that could help us we would love to know.we are talking about se kentucky if this helps, backwoods kentucky. our altimate goal is to live off the grid and as natural and self sufficiant as possible and honestly believe we can do this as a family.so if anyone can give me a lead please respond and if i can help anyone with any info please ask. i am new at this and learn something new every day . i felt this was a good place to post my first try.as most know doing something like this is very exciting but we know we have to have basics covered as we have the winter to endure first off and a child with us.i have never posted anything like this before so excuse me if i don't explain properly.anyway i hope someone can lead me the cheapest and right way it would be greatly appriciated.this could be our dream come true but we are normal everyday people and need help .thanks for your time in reading this donna  :?please excuse my spelling!!

Wheeew....well...I don't want to sound like a broken
record or a used car salesman, but I would really
(REALLY!) advise taking the class before you venture
any further. You have admirable goals, but wisdom
and direction will now be worth its weight in gold.
Get the plans and directions very well established,
then make your move. The "what" is important, now
write down the "how" in detail. This is where the
quarterly meetings come in. Members can help with
the goals and the "how to". Really nothing more
than people with knowledge and experience playing
"devils advocate". In every step of the way plan your
worst case scenario and how you will address it.
Hope this helps a little.

cheap living

If you don't find a free trailer, or want to haul mine from WA, get a TIPI. http://www.tipi.com I love mine, but I only stay in it a week at a time, even in the winter.

Just thought I would pass on some information. I'm not posting the link because I didn;t copy it.

For sale on ebay as of 1254 am cst, is a mobile home that needs to be moved. Current bid $.99. That's ninety-nine cents American.

Due dilagence is required of course and the trail is located in CT.
