thanks. yup the butts are 16-18 inches the tops are 8-10 inches.
tapers approx 1inch per 5 feet. not exactly ideal but we can work with it.
a bit smaller and a bit more taper than we wanted but we'll work with what we've got. Could have easily gotten bigger logs but for more than we wanted to pay. so be it.
this load contains none of the 15 trees we marked as possible RP/cap logs. those have a bigger girth. looking forward to seeing what the small ends of those are:)
