$75 Robotoolz lazer Seattle area

It's on Craig's List.  This is the same model I use, and this guys price seems pretty good.  Looks like it doesn't come with a tripod (that's ok, you're better off to buy a big (read: tall) Bogen photography tripod with a pan head.  Get an adapter for the lazer to a 1/4" x 20 thread.  Make your own story pole from a 3/16" x 2" x 96" piece of aluminum, and buy some framing square trammels.  Boom, you're in business for about $125, and much better than the factory tripod and story pole.   BTW...the big (used) Bogen will reach to 8', and with an extension pole (1 1/4" EMT conduit, 1/4" x 20 bolt, and 1/4" x 20 long nut & some JB weld) you can safely go up to 12' tall.  Buy a twin step (the singles are too flimsy and will bend) fiberglass 6' step ladder.  They are about $85 new, but check Craig's list...you never know what you'll find there.

Whole logs

05-04-2009 06;04;56PM.JPG

We have a logging project going this summer in the Sierras and have lots of high quality fir logs available that would be perfect for anyone who wants to build "from scratch".  Is this a good place to connect with people who would be interested in buying whole logs, peeled or unpeeled?  These logs would definitely not be from a kit!  We have built our own log cabin using these types of trees and it turned out great.  Straight, healthy, long fir with very little taper.  We liked 8" at the small end for our project but we have all sizes and lenghts.  We can put together something specific for anyone's project.  Please contact me if anyone knows where else to sell whole logs to people who want the natural thing, just the log, ready for you to do what you want.

Boom crane truck - Philadelphia area

Well, just got done fixin' her all up, and now I'm lookin' to sell her.  Why?  Because I got my eye on a dump truck that's just callin' my name, and I just can't afford to have them both.  Not a steal, but certainly not a bad deal either.  Take a look. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bfs/1772479149.html
