We sure could use some of that insulation...Seattle's a bit far to go though--we're in Colorado and we've been looking! :)
The end of the building season (in more northern parts) is a GREAT time to buy leftover building materials from new houses and remodels!! Deep discounts and no tax to pay Home Despot!
Some of the deals we've picked up off of Craigslist:
$150 worth of nails + screws-- $20
Exterior doors w/frame--almost new--$50 each
2 windows, 8 x 5 (NEW) double-pane, 6 x 5 (1yr-old) double-pane, both low E, ---$125 FOR BOTH!!!
3/4" 4 x 8 plywood $3.00 a sheet!
#15 Roofing felt--4 rolls-- $50
70 ' of new gutters, downspouts + assembly junk---$55
Briggs/Stratton generator--approx 200 hours "old"--also with 220V plug-in, $300 (retails for $600 new..plus TAX)
I love Craigslist!
