I just received my 10 by 12 greenhouse from Harbor Freight. It was advertised in the spring catalog for 649.99. No shipping charges!!!!
I went to my local store and got a rain check. Then I called the day after the truck was unloaded and before they could call other rain check folks. If anyone needs the catalog number it is "776-c-spring 2010".
Just a note - they said that the manufacture could only ship a fraction for the rain checks that they were handing out. Just thought you shold know.
I will post some construction photo's in my photo bucket site.

The green house is up and running. My tomatoes are doing poorly after being attacked by deer... but hope springs eternal or i hope next spring works out better... or I just might stick to cherry tomatoes.
Dave, was it this one?

I was eye-balling that one
I was eye-balling that one myself, and I saw it selling for $549 in an email not too long ago, plus I have a 20% off coupon if I could pick one up at a retail location.
I guess it was popular, because the price is back up again. +$300 is quite a jump!!!
Let us know what you think of the quality once you get it together.
there's a retail harbor freight near me
about 35 min ride from me. I called them, and they don't know when they will get them back in. Maybe next shipment. It does look nice, but for me and you Rod, we would have to heat it in the winter in our region. It's 3 season.
Clair read Mike Oehler underground green house book
Clair this hppie took a farmer idea and made better and did post and and 2 by 12
And you can build one that be better one those over priced green houses they sell.
I got his books and dvd and the green house easy build and cost you allot less just labor.
With the underground green house you keep things out and can grow stuff later in the season with a cold sink hole.
That makes a lot of sense
That makes a lot of sense Chad. A semi-subterrarian room with an all-glass roof would seem far more logical than an all-glass box, for reducing freeze potential.
Rod this guy ahead of his time
I was reading most the winter time this one book I read and bought.
Hes got a posting stu found online on you tube was first one he did and he did experment and it didnt failed till later on becuse no one took care of it.
He took a farmers idea and made it work better.
Like log home you use logs for post and treat burn the bottoms and wrap with garbage bag ore just put them on cement post and rebar like the log home. On the outside the green house you use 2 by whatever and tarpaper it and use 6 mill plastic to stop the leak ore water hitting the wood. You make braces of 2 by 6 and use fiber glass ore used windows . On the top you make a lid flip up to vent for heat.
On the bottom you dig a cold sink for the cold air go down in colder weather. He also make so the roof drains in plastic barrels so nature provides water for free.
You also face to south side i forgot about that. I got his books and dvds the book show how to make good one cheep.
Why buy a glass hut that cost 600 that when you can build something better and cheeper.I was to slow missed out 14 sliding glass doors used windows to make one. Andy Green thumb got me hooked on this guy.
Hes got short season if he grew outside in idaho but with his green house he grow up till december.
Rod you coud build a huge one on your land more food you can eat since you got back hoe dig your area out.
i build one later but i will build a nice size one.
is this the book you read?

I love the underground idea, but digging here is really tough. And I really do like an old fashioned greenhouse. I would put it on top of a knee wall made from leftover log pieces or just rocks. Of course I would still have to heat it.
I will keep the underground idea in mind though, thanks
One of our new neighbors has a digger and I intend to ask him for some help with our pond and moving backfill
thanks for the tip Chad
