Now i know why people pay people cut trees down.
I working on a diffcult one first i could not tell what direction it would fall.
It lean one direction and had a large limb that pull it in another.
It one the one i left in my photo album with a cut in it.
So i thought i use the 2 ton wench to crank it down becuse it pinched my blade 2 times now.
Now only is this tree leaning in many directions it a rotten oak.
A rotten tree can fall back and crush a person in seconds.
I got move the harley tomarrow and just get the sport track and hook the nylon straps and pull the SOB down.
It hung up in a branch of another large oak i tried cut the second time and pinched the blade for the second time.
Its not a large one but large enought to still kill.
When you get beat on so many times you bring the last line of defence the SUVs to pull them down. They never failed me yet haaha

Species

Some species give no indication that they are rotting from the inside out.
A local logger was pinned beneath a tree for six hours before help arrived. The tree he was cutting looked as sound as all the rest he had felled that day. Only, it was about 2/3 rotten from the inside out.

I think he learned his lesson about logging alone.

I been working on this smaller section of a oak to take out.
So far it been cut down to 4 sections and draged and still will not fall.
I did the nylon and chain and the nylon shot back hit my hood put nice dent and almost smashed my main window in the truck.
I cut another section and said it gone fall now. hell no its hung up 3 and half feet off the ground hang from another tree.
This got be the toughest small tree i tried to take out.
It might take a nice wind to take this tree out.
I found i think my mind thinks faster then i can type Words left out when i type something.
I need the program speek in a mic and it types for me.
Ow man so many leafs falling down any one want rake ahahah

replanting

Chad, you have a bunch of oaks on your property. Are you saving Acorns to plant? You prolly don't want to leave your land barren when you get your logs.
