Jim & Paulie Dale built this beautiful log home. The logs came right from their property, and they had enough left over to mill up all the lumber they needed.
They relish in the 'joke' that kids in their neighborhood drive cars that cost more than they spent while building their log home... and yet their log home is worth just as much as neighboring homes.

Jeff estimates that it cost him about 60k to build this log home. It went on the market for $497,000 and has now sold. He is currently planning to build his second log home.

This 4500 square foot log home was actually built around an existing stick frame home. Then the stick frame home was carefully dismantled and recycled.

Mark and Lisa built this wonderful log home using short log construction. This is elegant 'country' living!
It's worth noting that their neighbor was building a kit log home at the same time Mark and Lisa were building their home. The neighbor took 3 months to get his walls up, whereas Mark and Lisa took less than 1 week.

This log home was built by Mike Simmons after he attended our class.
Mike sold this home almost immediately for $299,000.00. His "net" profit from the sale was $160,000.00. If necessary, Mike said he could easily build more than one log home per year, and that it's so easy that "anyone can do it."

Mike built his beautiful log home in the early 80s. This log home is truly unique and special, in fact it's so cool that it's featured in the book Hands-On Log Homes by Cindy and Art Thiede.
Keep an eye open for the reoccurring mountain motif, and totem pole RPSL (among other neat features).

This is just a small sampling of projects. At any given time we have between 150 to 500 members building all over the United States (and the world).
Thanks for the pictures, we're thrilled to see your projects taking shape!

Ric built this majestic log home in the 1970s. This a log home that actually has a turret, and it looks awesome.
Ric not only built this log home himself, but he did all the landscaping too and the landscaping combined with the house makes for one nice estate property -- fit for a King. Ric recently sold this home and is now on his way to a happy retirement.
