Jeff Cooley's log home

Jeff Cooley took our class in 1991 and built this awesome log home in 1994.  He had a full-time job while he was building, but he finished it in less than a year -- working all by himself.  Nearly everything in the home was built with Jeff's own hands, including the custom metal work throughout.  Working with metal is a hobby of Jeff's, so he also built a two story, 2000 square-foot post and beam garage for his metal working equipment and other toys.

Jeff reports that the shell of this home was built in just five weeks.

This home cost approximetly $60,000 to build (total) and it sold for nearly $500,000.

Jeff is now preparing to build his second and third log homes, using some of the profits from selling his first one.
