I refused to wear one of those. I still worked as a chiropractor and used a chalkboard to write on. I later regained a very low voice and used a headset mic (Madonna-style) and it had a small speaker that clipped to my belt. I have good days and bads days and on the bad days I have to wear my mic. Its kinda of interesting..the more I talk, the stronger my voice gets. When I am all alone and not working (or talking) my voice gets really bad, but after a day of seeing 15-20 folks at work it sounds much better. I think it gets better just like a singer who warms up before a show, the more one uses it the more bloodflow to the area. So in my case, resting my voice doesn't help.

Yup, I read all our posts. Your a good man. REAL friends are a rarity in this day and age, its good to see a few good men (and women) still honor kinship.

IMO Yuhjn (Craig) treated you wrong. I thought it was very disrespectful, for you personally and for the forum. Although I do not agree with his actions, Craig has the freedom to speak as he wishes. Some of us here find it is easier just to ignore others instead of bickering. We all have our faults. :)

No electric pole or wires and I do not want any. I am doing just fine (so far) without. :)

The tipi is a traditional Cheyenne tipi made of canvas. I froze my butt off last year. This year I framed the inside with 2x4's and built it in a 8 sided design. The walls slope inward as it goes up. I plan to post a photobucket of all my tipi pictures. I will be winter ready this year...complete with a propane fridge, propane stove, woodburner, bathtub and sleeping quarters for my dog, cat and me. ( I just finished the drywall (and texturing) work today and am starting on the kitchen cabinets and countertop.) Nights are already in the 30's.

I was up there most of last year with just the tipi on top of the deck. There are bear up there but I worry more about mountain lions. They will stalk you down. I never leave out garbage either. Cheeko, my German
Shepherd is a great watchdog and always gives me warning. My closest encounter was seeing a mountain lion up high on a rock outcropping. It was sitting watching a deer trail. I stay away from there. I also encountered a lone wolf one night as he came out of nowhere while I sat at a campfire on a cold night. Cheeko (my dog) let me know something was there and sure enough it was a small scrawny wolf. I called Cheeko off and the wolf slowly walked away. It even stopped at one point and looked at me again. He must have been hungry and starving. Coyotes are the norm here and I swear they come right up behind the tipi. I sometimes fire off a few shots and scare them off. They usually scatter off and then start yipping like mad. I like coyotes actually. They are "tricksters", magicians. There are many cool NA Indian stories involoving these great creatures. I think they are beautiful too.

Debating politics, religion, war and vaccines are 4 topics sure to stir up hard feelings. The older I get the more I learn to keep to myself. I only talk to folks with the same interest as me. There are very few people who will change their minds anyway, so why even bother?
I do think George Carlin was a genius though and loved his act about religion.

I like history of the old west. I was on a site the other night try to chat with relatives of Doc Holliday.
I would like to tame one the wild cats but it cant be done there wild. I like cats becuse they are sneaky.
I think thats why some people dont like cats. i would have a dog but it to much like having a kid.
I almost got a Dobberman those dogs are sleak, fast ,smart and sneaky also.
My x goverment coworker ran the relief on the Dobbermans around her in my area.
Dogs have short life span like most 13 years ore less. Being attached to somethig and lose it so fast would be hard.

i got the Black bears up here they will kill if they have to.
But most time they run off if you scare them with sound.
Last year one the good old boys shot a black bear during season. It played possum with the hunter.
The hunter went to poke it and the bear got up and beat the snot out the guy.
If it wasent for his friends the bear would killed him.
Sounds like you have to have a loaded gun and your dog with you all times there.

Kola you might not like my actions, but I dont like the actions of those who think that because their world view might be the majority opinion on this forum, that they can say whatever they want whenever they want about it. (Al Gore is a crack baby and said he "invented" the internet)

And Chad, you can do the whole "I was insulted, I'm so offended and insulted" if you want. I apoligized for my comment about your lack of English ability. I dont apoligize for stepping forward to correct your misquote of a nobel peace prize winning former vice president of our country.
So you can say I am inappropriate and insulting if you want, but I would challenge you both to consider your own comments that I was responding to.
