Land available in PA

Hi! I'm Dan Konefal from Pittsburgh, PA. I took the class this past June and things have progressed rather quickly as far as land acquistion is concerned. In fact, I have more than I need, so I'm aiming to sell an 8-acre tract. The land is in Franklin, PA, 83 miles north of my home in Pittsburgh, in Venango County. It's right up our alley as far as LHBA is concerned. It's a hilly location but nothing a backhoe and some sweat can't tame. It's heavily wooded so log acquistion won't be a problem. There's paved road frontage, lots of privacy and electric is nearby. Lots of evergreens, maples and other hardwoods, many of which can easily be ridge poles. It's raw land. I'll be building right across the road so we can help each other. I have some pictures that I can send if interested. The price is $30,000 for the 8 acres. Email me at

Nice Area

I grew up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and Grove City. I have not lived there since 1980, but I always have it on my mind. Franklin is a pretty town. There are so many small towns around that area. Get in your car and drive. There are lots of members living in PA. You will find them very helpful. Good luck on your new adventure.

Hi Dan, My land is located

Hi Dan,
My land is located about 120 miles northeast of you on the opposite side of Allegany State Park. The most beautiful part of this country, in my humble opinion. NY & PA just can't be beat for natural beauty and serenity.
Best wishes on your endeavor and how nice that will be to have a neighbor to help with your building and vice versa.
I'll keep an eye on your progress and when I get up home, maybe I could get an invite from you to come over and see your progress.
