Log wall

This log wall is a veritable thing of beauty to a log home builder or log home enthusiast.  Gorgeous logs and tight chink lines, and using cedar shingles as gable siding really complements the logs.

Association members might notice that a feature is missing from this home.  It's something that is normally featured prominently on Skip style butt and pass log homes.  It's missing because Jim used scissor trusses instead of regular rafters.  You can put just about any roof system on top of a butt and pass log home -- from traditional rafters, to scissor trusses, to attic trusses, even a flat roof if you really felt like it.
