Pam's log home river rock fireplace

Even though this home has an electric furnace and heat pump, the primary source of heat is just a small Franklin style wood stove.

Log homes are incredibly energy efficient.  It really doesn't take much to keep them warm (even a huge log home like Pam's).

perma chink price

It looks good but I hear its expensive! Can you tell me what that would cost? Your home looks nice too. I see it cost you under $150,000. That home might of cost about what ?/if you had a builder do it? My guess would be around $450,000-$500,000?

It is permachink, but the color is Sandstone. One shade or two lighter than yours Johnny. It isn't cheap to use Permachink. And I am the poster child for them. This house ate up (at last count) 26 5 gallons pails! That includes inside and out, and all the fancy trim. Johnny made me practice on this house before he'd let me touch his! And as for cost, I shudder to think what a builder would charge!
