pine tree felled by Hurricane Ike

I had a nice 60 foot pine tree felled by Hurricane Ike 2 weeks ago. It is now cut into many 4 foot pieces of 12 - 18 inch diameter. Is there any realistic way to reuse the pine tree?

re using the tree

My first reaction is that it is now fuel for many camp fires or to burn in wood burning stoves. What a shame.

Short logs.

If you could find a portable mill operator that can cut short lengths (logosol wood working mill comes to mind) you might get some good window bucks or bird blocking out of them.

Might not be worth the cost tho, depends on your area.

Too bad they got cut to 4', because at 8' they could have been easily sawn into boards on any mill.
