Just wanted to mention to anyone here that has to work in cold, wet conditions, we think we've finally found a pretty good solution for my icy, achey hands.
Since we're in the finish-work stage of our house, I've been having to do a LOT of paint-brush cleaning-- outdoors in freezing temps-- and it's really taken a toll on my arthritic hands. Bad enough to be out with gloves, but to be out without gloves under running water was brutal (and I'd not found a glove that I could wear in those circumstances. )
But Jeff found the Winter-proof Master Series gloves from Duluth Tradiing Company, and I've been "field-testing" them this week in snowy/ icy/ rainy conditions cleaning my paintbrushes, doing road work, shovelling snow, etc. They seem to work GREAT so far! They're not cheap, but they seem to be well-made, and I think they'll last well.
You can check out their whole line at http://www.DuluthTrading.com

Product recommendation-- cold, wet conditions
By the way, Jim--
The product Jeff found at Duluth that he REALLLLLLY wanted (the gloves were an after-thought, actually  ), was a "bag" for his framing nailgun. He is VERY happy with that. Fits great, has handles, keeps it clean, etc.
The thing I like about their products is that they DO seem to do some really good product testing to see if their designs actually WORK efficiently and last over time. I LOVE that approach to product design!
Had to wash more paint brushes at 28 degrees and breezy last night. Sure do LOVE those new gloves! :D

As for the inspector stick... Your last name's not here on the forum, so no one can rat you out.
At least you didn't say to use it over where you guys were making wife jokes. :P :P :P

I'm the wrong one to ask, Jim.
I'm the one who recommends being polite and cooperative with your inspectors.

PS... and I did warn you they were expensive... but my hands were KILLING me, and now they're not. My hubby thought 30 bucks was a small price to pay for that... especially when I clean HIS brushes as well as my own. :P
