Built from one of the most rot and insect resistant wood there is, red cedar or you may know it as juniper. I know they look gray but if you want to stain them they polish back to a cream color very easy. The walls have a mean diameter of 9.5 inches which will give you an R rating of about 15r + thermal mass = great efficiency!
