This is a home being built by John and Cheri in Alaska.
They took our class and adapted the building technique to use the free short logs that they had available.
This is a very sturdy, inexpensive and functional log home that will surely serve their family for a long time.

Building style?
Look at the log columns on the perimeter walls. Wondering if that was for the type roof he is building or what? It looks like he put his ceiling joist in put roof decking in the corners then started with the roof. I see no RPSL or Ridge pole. I like the way the home looks but certainly looks different then a standard LHBA first home build method. I am just assuming since there are only three pictures-nice home. I wonder what size it is too?
