Just thought Id post a quick FYI, I saw today in the Menards add that they have pine T and G on sale, buy one package (14sq ft) at $13.77 get one package free. Limit 20 free packages per household. If you need more have your inlaws, brother, neighbor, etc buy them for you too :D. Id have to go check the advert again but its probably a mail in rebate deal as that is mostly what you get at menards. FYI if you pay attention to their ads you can often get some great deals, in the last month I got 4 Irwin brand wood clamps free and 2 Irwin brand handsaws free after rebates at Menards. I love free tools ;D

The Menard Ad didnt give the dimension of the Pine T and G so I assumed 1x6, so to get the 14sq ft in a package that would be 30 linear feet or 15 board feet. At .75 per BF, the total would be $11.25 from the california lumber yard. That is a good price compared to menards regular price. However since it is a buy 1 get 1 deal, the Menards deal comes in at 45.6 cents per board foot making the menards deal pretty good. You can check my calculations using the link I posted at the start of this post.
EDIT apples and oranges
Of course the price comparison is a bit off as they poster was getting 2x6 vs my estimate of 1x6 as the picture in the add didnt "look" like it was 2x6....
